This is a classic two bar groove used in Jay Z’s, “Hard Knocked Life.” Only difference in the two bars is the bass drum as noted below. Remember to shuffle any of the bass drums that fall on “e” or “ah.” Enjoy!

“Green Onions” by Booker T and the MG’s is an easy groove drums! Al Jackson Jr was the drummer and he kept it simple, clean and memorable. It’s just quarter notes on the Ride Cymbal, “2” and “4” on the Snare and Hi-Hat(left foot). Finally an “1′ “ah 3” on the Bass Drum. Enjoy!
